Makeup Artist Mary Beth

Mary Beth is a dear friend, an artist, and such a natural beauty!

We first met on a music video set – she was providing makeup for the vocal artist and Tony & I were shooting behind the scenes stills. It was a long, seriously long, day and Mary Beth was friendly & fun & professional (and kept the vocalist glowing). So I knew she would be a great treasure for my clients wanting professional, camera-ready makeup for their session. Plus Mary Beth loves photography — her experience behind the camera and eye for beauty truly benefit each session.

After having Mary Beth work alongside me in several Love It Out Beauty Reveals, I wanted the opportunity to capture her. Although she was a little nervous at first being in front of the camera, she quickly relaxed and just had fun. She even brought props! (which I love – it adds a personal touch)

From classy looks to laughter – she was awesome to photograph!

Thanks Mary Beth for just being the wonderful artist that you are! I look forward to our future sessions revealing radiance & beauty in the women we are blessed to work with together!!

THANKS for sharing your smiles!

We had a wonderful day at the studio yesterday capturing smiles – thanks to all who participated in support of the work of Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. For our Celebration of Smiles event we raised the amount needed for a surgery to save one smile  🙂

Here are a few smiles from yesterday! Lots of love!

We look forward to doing this again! Maybe I will be able to show you images from a precious child with a changed life if Tony & I get to go on an Operation Smile trip one day!

Rachel

I love the sounds I can hear while sitting in our studio at Lowe Mill: drills, sewing machines, footsteps, and laughter. One distinct laugh I hear often is Rachel’s. If you know her, you know exactly what I mean. She is delightful always, and full of joy as she shares her art and her studio, the Green Pea Press.

When seeking models for our new Beauty Reveal sessions, an extended session complete with hair & makeup by Mary Beth Elliott, I thought of Rachel right away and was thrilled when she agreed. And so as our first “victim” she was so much fun – she even brought gloves and fun hair pieces!

Rachel is one of those people that you just feel like you’ve known for years. She is comfortable to be around and I so enjoyed photographing her – she had no trouble at all going from a romantic soft look to a big smile with sparkly eyes & dimples. And she was totally up for all the fun poses we wanted to try!

Thanks Rachel and Mary Beth for such a fun session! You are both gifted & beautiful women!! Let’s do it again!

Beautiful pictures!!!!

A Celebration of Smiles

On April 21, 2012, Love It Out is proud to host  “Celebration of Smiles Day” a wonderful opportunity for you to update individual portraits of yourself or favorite someone (pets included) and at the same time support the work of Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.

Along with other participating members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we have pledged to donate 100% of each $24 donation made to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as its charitable partner. The $24 donation represents one tenth of $240, the amount needed to help fund a single surgery. So if we can photograph ten smiles during the “Celebration of Smiles” event on April 21st, we will bless one child with a new smile!

For additional information on Operation Smile visit  http://www.operationsmile.org/

Email me (suzi@loveitout.com) for additional details and to schedule your mini-session appointment. It will be fun… and Tony has promised to make his wonderful fudge for those that have a session!

Overalls are twice as cute on twins!

I love my neighbors. We live in a cul-de-sac with the most wonderful neighbors, one of whom is Michelle. On this lovely spring day I drove up as she was walking with her youngest grandbabies. Oh my, the cuteness! Twins in overalls with their oh-so-happy grandma. Yes, too cute not to capture!!

Not sure what it is about Tony’s log alley in our backyard studio that brings out the expressions! Its just fun for everyone – Clara & Ella too!

Michelle delights in these two little ones, actually all four of her grandchildren have brought her a new joy, and it was such a sweet view from behind my lens. What a beautiful sight.

Love is the greatest gift that one generation can leave to another.
