Brave Little Tea

Little fighters are such an inspiration. Less than two years old, its hard to believe how much this little one has already been through. Tea was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and is undergoing chemo treatments to shrink it in size. She has lost her eyesight but not her sweet spirit.

I got to spend a a little time with her at a recent benefit, and capture some images. Her mom, Kim, is a dear cousin and quite a brave girl herself. I was moved seeing them together and witnessing Kim’s strength knowing the storms she has already endured.

Tea loved this silver bracelet and the sound it would make when she dropped it on the ground – you can hear her laughter in this video snippet:

To keep up with her journey and join us in prayers, look up ‘Tea Akins” on Facebook. Love to you brave little Tea.

Clara and Ella are two!

Oh my – these kids have energy! And are soooo sweet!

I loved this moment of Connor proudly hugging his little twin sisters. The light held on for us for this evening garden session celebrating the terrific twos for the twins, Clara and Ella. Their cute pink outfits were a gift from their aunt  – and their white dresses were just lovely.

These three little ones have a lovely big sister too! Hopefully we will have them all in the garden this spring – mom & dad too!

Awesome Aaron – Class of 2013

We were so blessed to spend time with awesome Aaron to capture his senior portraits.

We captured Aaron’s big sister Jessica’s senior portraits a few years ago. But this time we were able to spend time with the whole family! What a beautiful evening on Monte Sano Mountain and what a delightful family 🙂

Aaron’s interests include soccer and archery – I loved shooting the images with the bow & arrow. He has a natural knack with maintaining computers and will be a great computer engineer! Just a great guy! Tony & I look forward to staying in touch with this wonderful family to hear about the great things they do! Blessings!

Deep Roots “Harvest for Huntsville”

We recently had a great night joining the Deep Roots “Harvest for Huntsville”! How awesome that we have this organization here in our community helping families to grow their own food and learn healthy lifestyle choices!

Harvest for Huntsville was their first fund-raiser. There was great food from Chef Will, music from Atlanta Rhythm Section, great art and opportunities offered in a silent action, and lots of wonderful people! AM Booth’s Lumberyard was the perfect setting.

They are like trees planted along a riverbank with roots that reach deep into the water.  Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.  Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.  -Jeremiah 17:8
